The Hunter Valley is a large and diverse region, and allied health services have historically been concentrated in Newcastle and Maitland, leaving families in Cessnock, Singleton, Kurri Kurri, the wine country corridor and surrounding areas underserved. Watagan Health Hub is in Cooranbong, sitting roughly central to the broader Hunter Valley, and our mobile service extends approximately 45 minutes from our clinic, covering a substantial portion of the region. This page describes what services are available, where we travel, and how to access care.

Our coverage across the Hunter Valley

From our Cooranbong base, our mobile service regularly covers: Morisset, Wyong, Cessnock, Cardiff, Charlestown, Toronto, Belmont and surrounding suburbs, as well as clinic and home visits across the Lake Macquarie local government area. We try to accommodate all reasonable requests.

Music therapy across the Hunter Valley: available now

Music therapy is our live service. Our two Registered Music Therapists (AMTA registered, Masters qualified) provide evidence-based therapy for children with ASD, ADHD and developmental delay; adults managing mental health, Parkinson's disease and neurological conditions; and older adults in aged care and community settings. NDIS (all management types), private and aged care funding accepted. Mobile home, school and facility visits available.

Speech pathology, OT and myofunctional therapy: launching mid-2026

Speech pathology, occupational therapy and myofunctional therapy are all launching mid-2026 and will cover the Hunter Valley through our mobile service. Myofunctional therapy is of particular note: Watagan Health Hub is the only orofacial myofunctional therapy provider in the Hunter Valley and Lake Macquarie region, integrated with Watagan Dental. If you have been referred by a dentist or orthodontist anywhere in the Hunter Valley for tongue tie or mouth breathing treatment, we are the locally based provider.
